Permanent Position: Pesticides Applicator / Plant Care Worker (NOC- 8612)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Wage Rate: $16.00 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible

Education: High School
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience with plant and pest ID an asset.
Languages: English
Type of Farm Operations: Vegetables, Fruits and Field crops.
Job Duties:
• Spread top soil, lay sod, shrubs and trees and related structures
• Cut grass, rake, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by supervisor
• Daily applications of flow-able fertilizes and pesticides
• Spray volume calculations as directed, to control insects and disease and record keeping
• Ability to implement spray program and initiate changes as needed
• Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and
obstructions.
